Kimball ex-preacher charged in child pornStaff Report Chattanooga Times Free Press December 17, 2010 KIMBALL, Tenn. — A former Marion County preacher has been indicted on a charge of possessing child pornography, authorities said Friday. David Hoschar, 55, turned himself in at the Marion County Justice Center this week and was booked on a single count of sexual exploitation of a minor, records show. Hoschar was pastor of the Kimball Baptist Church but resigned earlier this year, authorities said. Hoschar posted a $7,500 bond and appeared in a Marion County courtroom on Friday for a preliminary hearing. The charge comes after an eight-month investigation by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, TBI spokeswoman Kristen Helm said in a news release Friday. “[The TBI] executed a search warrant on the home of Mr. Hoschar in mid-April of this year,” Helm said. She said child porn was found on his computer. http://www.timesfreepress.com/news/2010/dec/17/kimball-ex-preacher-charged-child-porn/?breakingnews SBP Note: Kimball Baptist Church is shown as being affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention. |
