Having been raped by a Southern Baptist pastor at the age of 16 has been a lifelong psychological trauma for me.

Thirty years later, I still suffer from the symptoms of PTSD and have survived two suicide attempts.

The response of the SBC to keep it quiet, to deny there is a problem, is in fact, the most IMMATURE Christian response imaginable.

The hypocrisy and state of denial of this church is so deep & immeasurable, it will take a decade or more before anything substantial happens to right this horrific wrong.

Is the Pastor who raped me currently serving in a Southern Baptist church? YES, and has been for over 30 years.

This is the very tip of the iceberg of this tragic story. It's time the SBC took a stand for justice, rather than judgment.
