BELLMEAD - Former Pastor W. (William) Frank Brown of the Bellmead First Baptist Church was arrested around noon Tuesday on charges of continuous sexual abuse of a child. News Channel 25 has learned that the incidents began about four years ago in another state. There, Brown is accused of molesting girls aged 9 or 10. When he moved to Texas, Police say Brown assaulted a victim as well. Police say the alleged sexual assaults took place hundreds of time, some of which were in Robinson, Harris Creek and in Waco. Brown reportedly turned himself in to authorities and was taken to the McLennan County Jail. His Bond was set at $200,000. Church members say Brown's wife turned in his resignation to the church two weeks ago.
